On 7th October, the Whitechapel Centre is holding the  annual Sleepout event to raise really important funds to help in their work supporting homeless people or people at risk of homelessness. 

The Sleepout is a great fundraising event where volunteers "sleep out" in a safe group setting. This isn't intended to imitate the experience of people who are homeless but to raise awareness and funds so we can provide the services that are needed. 

A lot of people are unfortunately feeling the pinch at the moment but any support, in any way you can provide it, is gratefully received. 

1) If you can spare the £, then please donate on my JustGiving page. Even just £5 can provide the toiletries for someone who has arrived at the Whitechapel Centre with nothing. 

2) If you can volunteer your time, then please consider joining us on the 7th and sign up to the Whitechapel Centre to Sleepout. 

3) If you're short on time and money, then please consider the Whitechapel Centre the next time you're having a good clean out of your cupboards or wardrobes. The website provides a handy list of all the bits they're in need of.
