The Dalgarno Trust is a dynamic charity working in partnership with our local community to improve lives in North Kensington. Our community centre is a safe space for residents in this part of the borough to meet, build friendships and form a strong and supportive social network. We bring individuals of all ages from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds together so that they can fulfil their potential, break the cycle of poverty, ill-health and deprivation. Our foodbank alone has seen a 150% increase in numbers receiving food parcels. We are also seeing a steep increase in the number of children and young people on our youth programmes struggling with emotional wellbeing and mental health without adequate support in place. There has also been a substantial drop in income and as a small charity, we are struggling to meet this growing demand. We need donations to continue providing the vital support for those who need it most.
