Story
For a long time now I’ve been trying to raise awareness about mental health and suicide, something that I was quite naive and oblivious to until one of my closest friends sadly took his own life. Since then, I have sadly had to comfort and support other friends who have also lost friends and family members through suicide. I feel like suicide is becoming a much more common solution to a problem, that with the right and help and support, can be preventable. Whilst I’ve been part of many fund raising days to help support these amazing charities, I have never taken on a personal challenge. For a cause that I feel so strongly about, I feel it’s only right that I challenge myself and put my body through a lot of pain in a bid to raise money for this vital support! I am therefore taking on the Brighton Marathon - something that terrifies me. 26.2miles is 26miles too long in my opinion! Any donations would be greatly appreciated and would mean the absolute world to me! It will make a difference, and it will save lives. Below is a brief outline of the work and support CALM offer…
Thank you, and wish me luck!
