My Grandad, John Conway, has Alzheimers.

Currently there are no preventative or curative strategies for this debilitating disease, among many other neurodegenerative diseases. Nor are there any ways to slow it's progression.

This needs to change. 

By doing the basic and translational research, to understand the mechanisms behind this complex disease, I believe that one day therapeutic interventions can be implemented, to maybe manage if not cure this disease.
