Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Since my Dad passed away from a Glioblastoma, Mum has really thrown herself into fundraising for Brain Tumour Research. The energy and enthusiasm she has shown has been amazing and she has managed to raise many thousands of pounds for help fund their work. When my sisters and I heard about her latest proposal to abseil down the Spinnaker tower in Portsmouth we realised that we could not let her do it alone so we all signed up to do it together as a family. As the date is rapidly approaching I think we are all starting the feel the nerves but we need to put that aside and focus on why we are doing it and try to raise as much as we can for this important work that this often under funded charity does.

I think my Dad would be very proud in what we are doing, once he had stopped laughing of course.

I would be most grateful for any donation you can give.

The abseil will take place on Monday 27th May 2019 in Portsmouth.
