Story

On Friday 19th March 2021, myself (Owen Harper) and Pro Boxer Dean Sutherland will be undertaking the 4x4x48 Challenge. This involves running a distance of four miles every four hours for a total duration of forty eight hours.

The challenge was first started by David Goggins a famous American ultramarathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, triathlete, motivational speaker, and author. David first launched the 4x4x48 challenge in 2020 in order to raise as much money as possible for charity.

Earlier this year both myself and Dean’s childhood friend sadly lost his Dad. We feel there would be no better way to partake in this challenge by raising funds in memory of him. We kindly ask those of you that are viewing this to donate in order to raise awareness for our chosen charity SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).

During these unprecedented times the way we view mental health is the main dilemma. Whether an illness effects your heart, your leg or your brain it’s still an illness and there should be no distinction. Everyone is being affected in one way or another. Any type of support would be hugely appreciated.

There will be updates of our progress before and after each run on both myself and Dean’s social media platforms for you guys to follow, (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn).

Thank you
