Story

The Oxford Beat Society is running 10km on Saturday 7th March 2020 to raise money for Beat, the UK eating disorder charity, in their fight against eating disorders. Eating disorders are a huge problem in the UK, particularly for students. Waiting times to access treatment are unacceptably long and sufferers often find it challenging even accessing a GP appointment. Fundraising for Beat allows us to support where we can so that all of those struggling with eating disorders do not face them alone.

Eating Disorders Awareness Week (EDAW) is 2nd-8th March 2020.

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Our mission is to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. These serious mental illnesses ruin and, too often, take lives. Our Helpline is available online or by phone for anyone suffering, as well as their family and friends.
