Story
The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group is the only charitable provider of expert eye care in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. For almost 140 years it has been treating patients regardless of their ethnicity, religion or ability to pay.
iYouth, the young professionals movement of the Order, are raising money for the hospital by walking 100km as a group - the distance between Gaza and Jerusalem which many patients travel in order to receive treatment at St John's flagship hospital in East Jerusalem.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge involves hiking up Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, in under 12 hours with an ascent that amounts to 5,000ft.
On 23rd September 2023, Tom G, Tom S, Max W, Taf G, and James L will be completing the Yorkshire Peaks challenge as their iWalk for the St John Eye Hospital Group.
