We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

A group of fifteen yacht builders, joiners and engineers from Oyster Yachts Wroxham are embarking on the 24 hour, three peaks challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK. This team, which comprises a blend of youth and experience, will set out on June 7th to traverse Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon, all in the space of 24 hours.

The motivation for attempting this formidable challenge is driven by personal experience – each team member, has in the recent past, been touched by the effects of Cancer and by taking on this challenge, they hope to contribute to lessening the suffering for others in future.

The team is made up of the following: Matthew Cook, Stefan Gosling, Mark Nicholls, Lee Cook, Neil Stevens, Darren Peberday, Nick Blake, Tom Fryman, Danny Kett, Mike Perrot, Michael Carpenter, Sam Stockell, Ben Woodhouse, Andrew Taylor and James Groves.
