Story
As most of you know my mum suffered for 5 long years with this horrible disease until she couldn’t fight it any longer and sadly passed away in July 19. It’s been so hard for all of us, especially my dad, who still struggles to come to terms with our loss.
Top that off with the this pandemic over the last 12 months its been a tough time for us and for everyone who has lost a loved one.
Charities have suffered massively during the pandemic, many have not been able to get regular donations from events that were cancelled. Brain Tumour Research is one that does not get enough support from the government despite being one of the biggest killers of children and adults under 40!
It feels like the right time to challenge myself in memory of my wonderful mum who I miss just being able to call, even if it was just to say hello sometimes.
Those of you that know me know I am not the most athletic of individuals, playing golf every week and the odd family walk is about as energetic as I get nowadays so this is going to be a tough challenge but nothing compared to what people with brain tumours go through on a daily basis.
