Story

My name is Pat Barnes, I'm a retired police officer and I'm walking out of my front door in Wool, Dorset - through the British countryside to Dover - through France, over the Pyrenees and across the North of Spain to the famous Santiago de Compostela on the Camino trail.

I have previously walked the Camino Frances, around 940km and Camino del Norte, around 1,150km which I enjoyed and added onto the regular walks by many km - so my next walk is going to be much longer ...

I enjoy the adventure of a long distance walk, seeing the countryside, the cultural changes, nature, but most of all the people you meet along the way.

I have chosen to fundraise for Mosaic. Mosaic are a Dorset-based charity who support bereaved children and young people and their families. They also provide support for children facing the death of a loved one.

Thank you for supporting my long distance walk and Mosaic.

About the charity
