Story
This year I am fundraising for a charity who’s mission is very close to my heart- hull and East Yorkshire Mind. My nearest and dearest will know that I had a horrible battle with anorexia that almost stopped my heart and resulted in me being admitted to an inpatient unit 68 miles from home for 6 months. I am SIX years recovered !!!
Charities like Mind, who offer advice and support to those suffering from mental health problems are so important and We are so lucky to have this charity in hull. Acknowledging that you have a problem is the first
step in any recovery and that first conversation opens the door to getting the help you deserve and need. I am so proud to be running this 10K for Mind and I know that the money I raise is going to make a difference for someone that is struggling.
I am extremely grateful to work for an employer who has a charity of the year initiative and gives employees the opportunity to take part in a number of fundraising events.
I’d like to end this post with this: Minds support line number(completely confidential, you do not need to give your name) 01482 240133. If you know someone who needs help, please pass them on this number.
