In October 2016 our lives were turned upside down when we discovered, quite by chance, that Rachel had a Sarcoma. At the age of 37 with a young family and in otherwise good health, this was a complete surprise and everyone's worst nightmare. However, Rachel was incredibly fortunate to be treated very quickly and has made a full recovery. Those 8 weeks in 2016 will never be far from our thoughts, but in a more positive way than most would imagine, they were filled with much fun and laughter (as well as a few tears)! This family selfie was taken on a walk the day before Rachel had surgery, a beautifully warm October Sunday, it will forever remind us of that time.  

We count ourselves very lucky and now is my chance to say thank you. I am running the London Marathon for Sarcoma UK, which is a small charity and the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat and is more prevalent in younger people. By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments.
