In honour of Pride Month, my colleagues Safiya, Alice, and I will be cycling 40 miles from Newbury to Windsor on 20th June. Our aim is to raise money for MindOut, a UK-based mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people.

Having struggled to realise and accept my own sexuality over the past year, this is a cause extremely close to my heart. LGBTQ+ people are considerably more likely to suffer with their mental health than the general population, and this is not something we can just accept.

Support your LGBTQ+ friends. Be open and honest in having conversations about sexuality. Normalise these conversations. Normalise expressions of gender that deviate from the binary we've become so obsessed with.
