PA Team Walking Challeng · 1 April 2023
Thanks for taking the time to visit Coleg Cambria PA Team’s JustGiving page. We are collectively walking 870 miles (the length of the Wales Coastal Path) during April and May to raise money for
Unrealuk.org.
Unreal seeks to raise awareness of Depersonalisation and Derealisation Disorder (DPDR), a disorder that unfortunately affected Janice’s daughter, Meg, last year. DPDR is terrifying for the sufferer, made much worse (in Janice’s family’s case) by not knowing what the condition was and the general lack of knowledge by local medical services, which is where Unreal comes in. DPDR can be brought on by a traumatic experience such as an illness or accident, a neurological condition such as migraine or epilepsy, stress, fatigue, fear, emotional turmoil or drugs such as cannabis or ecstasy. It may also be associated with another condition such as anxiety, panic disorder, depression, PTSD, OCD or Schizophrenia. It was triggered in Meg following a panic attack; thanks to time, medication and further understanding of DPDR, Meg is doing much better.
Please help us raise money for this worthy cause.
