So proud to know a man like him,

a gentleman, kind and warm.

He’ll stay with us forever more,

in life’s sunshine, rain and storm.

 

 

Strength we didn’t know was possible

and more when times got hard.

He showed us how to live this life,

golf course, north star and railway yard.

 

 

He inspired us, and laughed with us

and taught us what we’re all here for.

To embrace this world and not worry so much,

to enjoy everything life gives and more.

 

 

When we are sad we should not cry,

we must remember what he would do.

For he is sailing on his boat right now,

smiling back at me and you.
