I am running my first marathon for Autism Angels.

Autism Angels are an amazing North East charity. Using Equine Facilitated Coaching and the power of nature the charity specialise in supporting children with autism and their families. Their aim is to provide a place to feel welcomed, accepted and find the support and guidance needed. Through work with horses and their coaching, Autism Angels provide a very powerful platform to change and empower you to live your best and happiest life.

In 2018 our daughter Lucy was diagnosed with autism. There was an expectation following diagnosis that we could now access the right help and support for her. This was not the case and if anything support reduced or stopped altogether. This is sadly something that the majority of parents experience.

Autism Angels support the whole family. Lucy loves working with the horses and enjoys being at the farm. The movement of the riding calms her allowing us to learn and work on behaviours and communication. Our work with Autism Angels has been invaluable and we feel so thankful to have found them.
