Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, on February 3rd 2021, I lost my daughter Amelia at 26 weeks pregnant after being diagnosed with severe preeclampsia. Amelia was born on February 8th at 12:33am, measuring 36cm and weighing a perfect 1.49lbs. Without the support of family, friends, and charities like SANDS, today could be very different for me.

Myself, along with members of my work team, are walking a half marathon on 6th November in hopes of raising money to support SANDS - this charity is one that I will now always hold close to my heart. We will be starting at Fourteen Locks and walking the route until we complete the half marathon.

SANDS is a charity that exists to support those who have experienced stillbirth and neonatal death. Through means of a mobile app, a freephone helpline and an online community, the support they have to offer bereaved parents is amazing. Alongside this, they conduct research to further understand baby death, and ways in which baby’s lives can be saved.

As I am doing this walk with some members of my work team, my employer has come forward to say that for every £500 that we raise, they will match it!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
