OpportunAn opportunity to win an original painting by Paul Nelson of ‘The Junction Pool, River Tweed’ in support of the RCN Foundation. · 1 May 2020

Every day, thousands of people rely on the care of nurses, midwives and health care professionals. The RCN Foundation gives vital support back to these caring professionals. We safeguard nurses in need, invest in nursing care and support learning development for nursing staff.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The idea is simple. I am an artist and fly fisherman who specialises in painting the landscape of Rivers. I am asking for donations in units of £10 to win this painting. The money raised will go directly to the RCN Foundation in supporting the wonderful work our nurses are doing at this difficult time. This is an original painting by Paul Nelson, Acrylic on Panel 100x61cm of ‘The Junction Pool River Tweed’ one of the most iconic locations in salmon fishing.

Each donation of £10 provides a single ‘ticket’ in the draw unless you choose to donate anonymously. Tickets can also be bought in multiples of £10. The draw will take place in September 2020 and the winner will receive the painting after this date.

The RCN Foundation’s COVID-19 Support Fund will respond directly to the challenges faced by nurses, midwives and health care support workers and provide them with extra support as they carry us through this international emergency. It will provide practical support for frontline health and social care staff working on the frontline who are experiencing economic difficulty and will help ensure the nursing community receives the mental health and wellbeing support it needs both during and after this sustained crisis.
