Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My mum was taken Ill April May time last year and she landed in hospital they carried out tests and said was just a urine infection this continued mum had antibiotics after antibiotics nothing seemed to work they decided do blood tests and scans X-rays n mum felt like a pin cushion for a couple of weeks all the while my daughter mums only granddaughter was finalising plans for her wedding n looked forward to see her grandad in his kilt and her granny in all her finery that meant more than the big day itself however we were hit with the bombshell that mum had non Hodgkin's lymphoma  a very aggressive form of blood cancer and would need chemotherapy as soon as possible all the time Kerry my daughter Kerry hoped  her gran would be well enough to attend her big day unfortunately it wasn't to be mum was too ill and dad wouldn't go without her mum wept knowing how disappointed she and Kerry were . Mum got her six sessions of chemo  n seemed to fair ok she never complained at all I think she was just being very brave for us . Christmas time didn't come last year as mum was still in hospital after another infection hit we got her home for a couple of weeks again and all seemed ok the doctor told us treatment had went well it gave us hope only  for a short time mum had taken a fall n needed take back to hospital  they started tests again as another urine infection appeared after another blood tests were also being taken when we were given the worst news ever mums cancer was back and there was nothing more could be done time was against us mums one wish was to be home with my dad and there little dog morns who she had missed  all those months in hospital  mum got her wish with the help of ward 34 at the Victoria hospital and a new scheme being rolled out by the Marie curie fife scheme the nurses volunteers were brilliant they helped mum helped us as a family and gave us a couple of nights sleep we are truly gratefully and by raising some much needed money they will manage to give some other people the chance to spend there last days at home with there family . My mum Betty passed away on the 22nd of April at ten past five with my dad and my sister and myself  by her side telling her how much we love her and letting her know how much she means  please if you can spare a pound or two or pennies it'll help make that difference possible for some other family
