Fiona, Neil and I have been training hard, battling aches and pains to run the Robin Hood Half marathon on September 30th in aid of the Children and Young peoples suite at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. The unit has been recently set up to provide holistic care to under 18s who have been abused. The majority of the refurbishment has been paid for by Nottingham Children’s Hospital Charity funds. We aim to raise money to improve the experience of the children examined there by making the suite’s environment more child and young person friendly and to provide suitable clothes for the children to go home in if their own clothes have been kept by the police for forensic examination.
