It also supports the Lord Mayor's nominated charities. Funds are also raised from the annual Inter-Livery Swimathon.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Company Of Chartered Surveyors Charitable Trust Fund (1992) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

On 1st May 2008 Roger Carey will leave Panama City in his 1958 Aston Martin DB2 Mk111 on the start of an 11,500 mile adventure to hopefully arrive in Anchorage, Alaska 2 months later.

The incredible variety of climate – from tropical to desert to high altitude to inside the Arctic Circle; the huge difference in standard of roads – from motorway to mountain track; and the different stops on route – from 5 star hotel to to the most basic “pension” in remoter locations”  are challenges in themselves.

Now factor in driving a 50 year-old thoroughbred quintessentially English sports car not renowned for its luxury and soft suspension and definitely a little cramped inside… and that is for about 300 miles per day every day
for 65 days!

You can be involved with this mammoth undertaking by helping Roger raise money for his chosen charities, withthe lion’s share of the targeted £50,000 already ear-marked for the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust which helps young people get a start in the property business.

The winners of the various sponsorship opportunities will get to see the car at a future Aston Martin Owners Club track day and will have a conducted drive around the circuit in a prepared race car. The Company is also working closely with Roger to identify surveyors resident close to his route to give him a cheer along the way.

The other various ways you can sponsor Roger include:

• Guess the exact total mileage Roger will cover from Panama City to Anchorage and donate minimum 1p per mile to enter. PS. He might get lost

• Guess the total number of gallons of petrol that Roger’s car will use – entry is £5

• Guess how many punctures Roger’s car will suffer – entry is £5

• Offer a ‘bonus’ of say £50 if Roger’s car completes the rally

To enter please email your answer to

Include your full name, email and contact phone number. Payment can be made on the Justgiving web page - please reference in the comment box.

All winners will be offered a chance to visit a meeting of the Aston Martin Owners Club at a suitable race circuit and be driven round in a race prepared car.

Many thanks for your support.
