I’ve asked you here to consider donating to the Lupus Foundation of America who is dedicated to finding a cure for lupus. Lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. I didn’t know much about the disease until I met my beautiful wife, Kristen, who was diagnosed with lupus at a young age.

Kristen is my rock, my hero, and my best friend. She has supported me through years of training and studying to accomplish my childhood dreams. While battling lupus, she never let her symptoms prevent her from supporting our family— including raising our child by herself while I was on a 6 month deployment to an undisclosed location. Because of her, my dreams have come true and there is nothing I could ever do to thank her for all of her sacrifices. I would like to honor her and do anything I can to help make her life and others that deal with this terrible disease better. That’s where I need your help.

On May 30th I will be running in the Stockholm Marathon Sweden to raise money! This will be my first marathon ever! I have three goals: 1. Finish! 2. Attempt to finish under 3:30:00 for an 8:00 pace. I've already started training and think this is attainable. I may update this if I think this is too easy of a pace! 3. Raise £3,000. Anything will help and is an amazing blessing to our family and many families out there that suffer from this disease.
