Story
My name is Paraic O Neill I am 24 years old from Limerick. 2 years ago I lost my best friend to Cystic Fibrosis, not just a best friend a childhood best friend. He was an incredible guy, never once complained, we wanted a honour him in a special way.
So last year with the help of my friends we completed the lengthxbreath challenge, I ran across Ireland and with the support of my friends we all cycled the length of the country, in total this event took only 10 days to complete. We raised over €50,000 for cystic fibrosis and more specifically tlc4cf.
Due to this phenomenal fundraising I have been asked by
cystic fibrosis Ireland to run the new York city marathon on the 6th
of November, which is only a few weeks away.
I have put this video off again and again, I lost my best
friend to cystic fibrosis, the lengthxbreath challenge was a success but it was massively difficult after because I felt like a part of me died when that challenge finished and so I have to pick this back up and do it all again for this marathon. In hindsight I was afraid I had lost the connection with him, but the connection is still there.
This is a huge opportunity for me and cystic fibrosis Ireland were kind enough to ask me so I refuse to let them down. This is
bigger than me, it is for everyone suffering with cystic fibrosis and everyone left behind, it gives people hope.
So this year on the 6th of November Sca and I will run the New York City marathon together.
I have made a fundraising page, cystic fibrosis Ireland asked
me to do this run so I want to make it worthwhile for them, I hope you can support in any way a share, a mention to someone in a conversation or a small donation
