In the summer of 2014 I visited an excellent and inspiring exhibition at SOAS university, called Empire Faith & War, the Sikhs and World War 1.

It left a deep impression on me, and I was moved, along with all my family. So when this opportunity came along to contribute in a small way to help with the fund raising efforts for the team which is looking to:

• Help train a number of volunteers to document stories of citizens.
• Create a database of at least 1000 citizen histories.
• Create education packs.
• Create a documentary film.
• Publish a commemorative book.

Help me remember this amazing story of our ancestors, so that our children will know the contributions made by them, and we can help this team enlighten the communities we live in.
