Parish nurses add value to the NHS, promoting health and well-being with people of all ages and backgrounds. They signpost and connect people where needed, coordinate volunteers, combat loneliness, help to prevent hospital readmission and provide spiritual care and prayer if desired. Help us grow!

Story

On 27th  July, two Parish Nurses, Gill Fenner and Mary Carroll ,and

colleagues will walk along the Grand Union  canal from Wolverhampton,

where Gill's Parish Nursing is  based, to Birmingham,

where Mary is based. They will be greeted  on arrival by  Lesley

(Parish Nurse from Coventry) and other local parish nurses. On the

journey they will distribute high protein foods to any homeless along

the route and offer prayer support. Money raised will go towards

Parish Nursing UK to extend the provision of Parish Nurses across the

country -they are hoping to train 200 by 2020!
