Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As the Mayor of Luddenden, my Mayor’s Challenge for 2022 is to organise a sponsored wheelchair push to highlight the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s WALK TO D’FEET MND campaign.

Starting at The Halfway House in Morley, a pub that has recently held a fund-raising day for the Rob Burrows MND centre in Leedsthe team will push me in my wheelchair and Mayoral robes all the way back to Luddenden.

THE WALK

The walk is planned for Saturday 9th July starting at 9am at The Halfway House, Brittania Road Morley, LS27 0BJ.

The full walk will be on roadside footpaths going through Batley, Heckmondwike, Hipperholme and Halifax arriving at The Lord Nelson in Luddenden at around 6:15pm.

The total distance is 19 miles with a total ascent of approximately 2000 feet.

Team members can choose whether to complete the full walk or to complete one or more stages. The distance options will be 4 miles, miles, 12 miles or the full 19 miles.

Please give generously to any of our team members and help boost my overall total for the year.

Thank you.
