Dementia is a heartbreaking and tragic disease that affects the individual and their families greatly. I have watched my Gran suffer with dementia and decline rapidly these past few years and it is really difficult and sad to see your loved ones become a shell of the person they once were and for their personality and everything that made them unique just slowly disappear. 

I will be doing a 25 km challenge of Windsor Great Park to raise funds for Dementia UK. It is a charity I have been supporting for a few years now and they do fantastic work through their Admiral Nurses who provide emotional and physical support to people affected with dementia and their families.
