Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

On the 8 March 2018 we had the devastating news that our pastor was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer.  The Lord gave Pastor Norman the strength to endure his illness for over two years before calling him home.

Pastor Normans final weeks were spent in Marie Curie Hospice at Kensington Road in Belfast and with the help of the wonderful staff, he and Ruth were able to spend their final days together in relative peace and comfort.

We feel indebted to the hospice for making our pastors final days so peaceful and for helping Ruth as she cared for his every need.  As a big thank you, Pastor Normans church family at Park Avenue are fundraising to support the ongoing work of the Hospice and we encourage you to give what you can to support these amazing people to continue their crucial work providing end of life care to so many families.

Thank you and God Bless you all.
