Act, love and run #micah6:8

2017 Cardiff Half Marathon · 1 October 2017 ·
On Friday the 23rd June I decided to run the Cardiff Half Marathon that takes place on Sunday 1st October. I was all set to run for me and to get rid of my fat belly.
On Sunday 25th June I heard a talk at Hook church (where I am the youth and young families Pastor)) from the Senior Pastor based on the words of Micah 6:8. The words the prophet spoke, were as follows (Christians- my addition) are "To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with their God".
These words encouraged me to think about what I was doing in order to act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with God?
Today (Wednesday 28th June) the penny has dropped! I can do my bit for the RED Community! I can act, love and not walk but run!!!
If you haven't heard about the RED Community, Im not surprised.
They are a network of Christians (in Wales) who are addressing human trafficking.
Much of what they do is behind the scenes and alongside those they are trying to bring out of the various kinds of trafficking and slavery they are turning something very negative into something very positive.
In the words of their website they are "raising an army to be actively and effectively engaged in fighting for the trafficked, exploited and enslaved."
I want to play my part through highlighting their work through my online presence and also running the Cardiff Half Marathon at the beginning of October.
Take a look at their website to find out more - http://www.redcommunity.co.uk
