Conquering Cancer and Conquering Patagonia! 

Climbing the uphill battle of cancer is one of the hardest things anyone can go through. Losing someone to cancer can feel like the hurt will never end.

In memory of my parents, who we lost in 2010 and 2014 to Cancer, I am once again challenging myself to do something that I hope can make a difference.

My mother was able to take advantage of the wonderful health care offered by the NHS in Great Britain throughout her cancer treatments. I will be forever grateful to the doctors and nurses who provided her with care and were gracious, caring and compassionate throughout her fight until the end.

In November 2025, I will join 50-plus others, following in the footsteps of the Welsh migrants who sailed on the Mimosa to find a new life in the hills and valleys of Patagonia. This will again raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre, a premier cancer centre in Wales.  The money raised will go above and beyond what the NHS (UK National Health Service) provides to help this centre deliver some of the best cancer care and groundbreaking research.
