The Story Museum's mission is to enrich young lives through stories. We're doing this by creating a most unusual Museum where children and families step into magical worlds, discover new stories and create stories of their own. We create a programme of exhibitions and events in the Museum and develop outreach projects in schools and communities where our works has the greatest potential impact on young lives. 

Next April, following a major redevelopment, The Story Museum will re-open with 5 Galleries, a theatre, learning spaces, cafe and shop. We'll be ready to welcome 100,000 people a year, extend our outreach and impact, and take our place as a national home of stories.

We're very close to raising the £6m needed to complete the building and fill it with 1001 stories.
