Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. We thought this photo  was more in keeping with our images than us in running shorts and vests! Rachel and I hope you will sponsor us in our efforts to run/jog ( Rachel) shuffle (Patricia) round this 10k race. We are raising money to support people who suffer from Alzheimers and other dementias and also to support their families who care for them. Dementia is a cruel, degenerative and terminal disease. The statistics in terms of the number of us who will get dementia are truly frightening. The good news is that with early diagnosis and specialist  training and care a sufferers quality of life can be maintained. Please help us to continue to remember those who can't remember.

THANK YOU!WE DID IT!!! Despite the rain and the other 24,000 plus runners we got round. Rachel speedy Harrap completed the course in just under 1 hour. Shuffly me took 1 hour and.......18 mins!! Don't care the finishing line was the best sight!! Had to fight for my medal though...the chartity ones had run out!! 10k and no medal...not a possibility so the Mitchell persuasion tactics were displayed with force (and effect) as you can see from the pic. THANK YOU ALL.We will have made target once all our pledges are in because of your tremendous generosity which made the training and blisters worthwhile.
