Story
I'm taking part in RideLondon for War Child. You can help me achieve my goal to raise £1250. War Child supports children and their families in war-torn areas across the world. Through child protection, access to education and psychosocial support, War Child helps children to recover from the devastating effects of conflict.
For £20 you can fund the cost of a School Kit for a former street working child graduate to be reintegrated into formal school.
For £30 you can fund the cost for educational toys for one of War Child's early education centres
£100 covers the cost of sending one child to school for a year. And for £200 you can to kit out a classroom with tables, chairs and teaching equipment.
The real-life race has been cancelled due to Covid but I will be riding the route virtually on Zwift - an online cycling platform - that simulates the climbs and descents of road cycling.
The ride is virtual, the muscles are still mine. I've ridden 7,000km and climbed 50,000m so far this year in preparation; I'll hope to finish the route in 6 hours or so.
Thank you for giving what you can.
