Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On September 20th 2014, I will be walking the Tay Road Bridge to raise much needed funds for MacMillan Cancer Support.

In February of this year I was diagnosed with cancer and I underwent  7 days of radiotherapy and steroid treatment. After 6 weeks, it was suggested that I attend Roxburghe Day Care Centre for a 12 week course which gave me access to complementary therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapists. The Macmillan nurses have also provided me with support, help and advice for myself and my family.

The services provided by Roxburghe Day Care Centre and the Macmillan Nurses have given me my mobility, independence and confidence back by providing me with walking aids, a wheelchair and also provided tickets and transport for my sister and I to see Dundee Utd play the Scottish Cup Final against St Johnstone in May. Unfortunately, Utd lost!

Without the help and support of the Macmillan Nurses, I would not be able to even contemplate walking to the end of the street, never mind the length of the Tay Road Bridge.

MacMillan Cancer Support reply completely on donations and I would like to give something back to them by doing this challenge. Please donate as much as you can to this wonderful charity.

Thank you.
