I've been given a late 'wild card' entry into this year's London Marathon, and I've accepted the challenge!

I'm running for the charity Beating Bowel Cancer.

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK. Only lung cancer kills more people. 35,500 people will be diagnosed with the disease this year, and around half of these will die.

But the good news is - it is one of the most curable cancers if caught early enough.

If this charity can help more people and their families beat it then all my blood, sweat and tears will be well worth it.
