Story
Hi all,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to raise some money for charity this year and am doing it for my employer's nominated charity, When You Wish Upon A Star, which helps grant the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses. You can find out some more about the charity here https://www.whenyouwishuponastar.org.uk/about/
The premise of my fundraising goes like this:
- At work I am known for my flamboyant shirts
- I have twenty work shirts
- There are twenty working days in February 2019
- I wear all the shirts that month in increasing order of extravagance each day from slightly boring at the start to 'wow, really?' by the end
- You donate money in honour of this slightly ridiculous 'endeavour'
- People's lives get better
Sound like a good plan? Put it this way: it doesn't make any less sense than Movember and is totally unique.
I may post occasional updates (on what I'm wearing, yes) but not on a day-by-day basis.
For those who work with me: I will also be taking bets (any amount) on which shirt I will be wearing the next day with any correct guesses getting a denominationally convenient approximation of 20% of the total stake for that day. No clues; you're not getting a list to pick from.
I'm aiming to raise £500 for charity this year so please give generously and if this 'endeavour' doesn't succeed then I have another idea planned for next month.
