MATTDOTCOM provides teenagers suffering from long term or terminal illnesses access to computers, enabling them to continue their education, maintain school and peer contact and as a distraction tool during painful treatment. The equipment supports teenagers educationally; social and therapeutically so they cope with the pain of treatment and isolation.

Story

Thank you for visiting the fundraising page for the 2008 Fujitsu Graduate Grudge Match in aid of MATTDOTCOM.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Mattdotcom will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

This year's event, which will take place on Saturday 3rd May at Westway in London, will have added poignancy, for reasons outlined by Alex Kemp below:

"In July 2007, we received the tragic news that our former colleague and friend had been so tragically taken from us.  Patrick Zimmer was a member of the 2003 Graduate Intake and a popular member of the DTI Account.

Patrick was a much respected and well known member of the CSA community, with his ability and knowledge being second to none, being seen as the Lead CSA on the DTI Account.  Many people who were close to Patrick can only speak highly of him, and was an integral member of the ‘Thursday Social Group’ accompanied with his trademark roll-ups!!

In the 2005 Graduate Grudge Tournament, Patrick was voted ‘Best Jerzy Dudek look-a-like 2005’.

In a fitting tribute, the annual ‘Graduate Grudge Match’ football tournament has been renamed as the ‘Patrick Zimmer Memorial Trophy’.  I’m sure you will all join me in remembering all the good times with Patrick, and help to raise as much money as possible for MATTDOTCOM.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support."
