Hi, my name is Patrycja. I’m 38 years old, a mum, and for the past 5 years I’ve been a volunteer with the UK charity URBOND.

This October I will travel to Guinea (West Africa) for the third year in a row to deliver dental education workshops for children. Last year over 1,000 children took part – this year our goal is to reach 2,000 children.

Why do I do this? Because in many villages, children don’t even know what a toothbrush or toothpaste is. Simple education can change their lives, their health, and their future.

I have always funded my own travel and contributed as much as I can, but now, with the opening of a new school built by URBOND, we need more support than ever.

Since 2019, URBOND has:

✔️ Supported 2,280+ children with qualified teachers,

✔️ Donated 1,000+ school packs (notebooks, pencils, textbooks),

✔️ Built a library and computer room benefitting 15,000+ people every year,

✔️ Increased the school pass rate from 45% in 2019 to 79% in 2021.
