At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As this is my first marathon I have decided to run for charity and raise as much as I can for this amazing charity. It's so sad that this terrible disease effects anyone let alone children. So if I can do my little bit in helping children and the families get support from any money I manage to raise, then I will go through any pain barrier to get the job done. Below are some examples of how donations can be used.

  • £10 could pay towards an hour of care from the team around a
family, so that they have the emotional and financial support they need from
    Young Lives vs Cancer.
  • £22 could help pay for a Young Lives vs Cancer Big Bag. Young
Lives vs Cancer Big Bags are given to families when their child is first
diagnosed with cancer. They contain essential items for a hospital stay such as
toiletries, a teddy, a thermal mug, Young Lives vs Cancer information booklets
and much more. The bags help parents prepare for when their child begins
treatment and they’re travelling to and from hospital a lot.
  •     £38 could pay for a family to stay overnight in one of Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home, providing free self-catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home
