Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving
page.

I never get into London marathon so decided to do Paris instead. Like 300,000+ others entered the ballot for London and waited...and then...Boom... I'm in!

Paris Marathon on the 14th April and then 28th April for London...how hard can it be for an overweight, 52 year old man with shorter than average legs?

1 in 3 people in Somerset will need the support of St. Margaret's Hospice in their lifetime, and they need to raise £9.5million every year to continue to provide this vital care.

St. Margaret’s Hospice has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for over 39 years, delivering high quality, responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.

Whether it is for one day or several weeks, the time patients spend at the hospice is precious and cherished by their families. Through their
medical expertise, nursing skills and specialist support services, they provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to their patients and their loved ones.

With two hospice sites; one in Yeovil and one in Taunton, as well as five community based teams caring for patients in their own homes, they
continually strive to reach everyone in the community that needs their care, often during their precious last days.

St. Margaret’s Hospice is dedicated to making each day count for
all of their patients and their families. They aim to ensure that they always achieve what they want; from arranging an on-site wedding and a ride on a Harley Davidson, to simply enabling a patient to pet a hedgehog for the first time.

I and St. Margaret's Hospice would like to thank you for your donation, however large or small, and I will be giving regular training updates as well as letting you know my race numbers nearer the time.
