Hannah Seltzer is raising money for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice

The Midsummer Ball 2022 · 25 June 2022

We provide children's hospice care to children and families across Sussex

Story

It is a real privilege to be asked to be one of the guest dancers at the Midsummer Ball. Dancing is not one of my fortes, however when asked and given the opportunity to help raise money for the charities, I couldn't say no!

Chestnut Tree House gives children who need hospice care and their families the chance to live their lives to the full, and to enjoy life in the limited time that they have. Many people don’t appreciate the amount of money that goes into providing hospice care for children and young people, but it costs over £4 million each year to provide all of Chestnut Tree House’s care services. As a local business owner, I feel that it’s my duty to ensure that the community which supports my business is supported in return. Any funds I can help raise will help to provide the care that is so vitally needed by the children and families who rely on Chestnut Tree House.

Midsummer Ball is an initiative of Hilton Brighton Metropole. The net amount raised from the Midsummer Ball is divided between the four charities supported by the event as follows: 75% of online fundraising raised by our performers goes to the charity that they are representing. The remaining 25% and all net profits from the evening (including sponsorship, ticket sales, auction and raffle) are split between the four charities.
