Virgin London Marathon 2015 · 26 April 2015 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Eleven of Ted Baker’s finest runners will be participating in the London Marathon in April 2015. We will be running for The Francis Crick Institute in association with Cancer Research.

Our team, ‘runTedrun’, includes a diverse range of creatives. They spend their days thinking of ingenious ideas for one of the UK’s leading fashion brands, and will devote the winter evenings to training for the 26-mile marathon. Team ‘runTedrun’ range from total novices to the more experienced, and cover a variety of roles within Ted Baker. We have built a strong relationship by holding weekly running groups and morale-boosting meetings.

Cancer, cardiovascular disease, respiratory diseases and diabetes are the four biggest threats to human health today, causing 36 million deaths globally each year.

The Francis Crick Institute, the largest biomedical research centre in Europe, will open in King’s Cross, London, in April 2015. It will work to find cures for some of the world’s most life-threatening diseases. By partaking in the London Marathon we are helping to fund this research.
