Story
I have been lucky enough to spend the last nine years of my life with Tom Murphy.
Tom, my step son, has Cystic Fibrosis, a life-limiting degenerative condition that attacks the lungs and digestive system - for which there is still no cure. There are currently over 10,000 people in the UK with Cystic Fibrosis and sadly only half will live to celebrate their 40th birthday.
Tom is the life and soul of our house. We know he suffers, but he radiates joy and lifts everyone around him when it should be the other way around!
Tom is the greatest person I've ever met and I want to do my little bit to help him and the thousands of others with CF by running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in March to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The CF Trust perform an amazing job and are leading the campaign to raise awareness of the condition and fight for greater access to life changing medicines, but they need funds to help create a world where being born with CF no longer means a life-long struggle.
Tom will have celebrated his 21st birthday by race day and nothing will give me greater motivation than to see his smiling face as I cross the finishing line!
Thank you in advance for your donations and support.
