Campaign by The LATA Foundation (RCN 1123580)
The LATA Foundation have launched the Peru 25 for 25 campaign to provide monthly essential food parcels for out of work Inca Trail Porters in Peru. We are asking people to do a sponsored 25 mile walk or run over the month of March to raise funds.

Story

I'm Paul Cripps, the owner of Amazonas Explorer, based in Cusco, Peru and we'd usually employ around 55 Porters, Cooks and Muleteers throughout the season to carry tourist's bags, tents, food and camping equipment on the amazing trails we have in the Andes.

Sadly, We've not been able to operate a single trip since March 2020

In the month of March (and maybe a little of April), I am cycling, 4 x 25 miles  (which happens to be the length of 4 Inca Trails to Machu Picchu) to raise money for our Porters, Cooks and Muleteers, who, due to Covid 19 have had no income and no government support since March 2020.

The suggested sponsorship is £25, which would buy an essential food parcel for a porter and their family, but any amount large or small will make a huge difference.

Thank you

Paul Cripps
