You don't like to think of people being effected by cancer because you roll the dice and hope you don't have to.  What you never do, or at least I didn't, was think about the consequences on those immediate family members that all of a sudden find themselves in no-mans land with nobody realising they are there.  Except that is MacMillan who are always there.
