Story
We did it , rain sodden photo of us at a very windy , cold and misty top! Alas no sunrise! But the sun came out on the way down, hurray!!
This is our story:Paul had a cardiac arrest in early December 2021 whilst at home, on a ‘normal’ quiet Saturday morning. Sharon called the emergency services, and gave CPR, luckily the paramedics were close at hand, rushed into the house and after 7 shocks Paul’s heart started again. By another piece of luck the Air Ambulance helicopter was also close by, and landed in the local park. The onboard doctor ran to the house, and gave vital life saving drugs. Without this all miraculously coming together Paul wouldn’t be here or may have been brain damaged. 90% of cardiac arrests result in death.
We are always saddened to hear of others who have died in similar circumstances. Help us to raise money for the wonderful Air Ambulance service so they can help others survive. We are trekking up Snowdon on 3rd September to see the sunrise (hopefully)!
A message from them: Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
