<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p><span style="color: black; mso-ansi-language: CY;">I and four of my friends are supporting the <span style="color: #ff0000;">DA</span>TUM Foundation by undertaking a personal challenge to cycle across France. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: black; mso-ansi-language: CY;">I am hoping to complete 400 miles by bicycle from Calais to Clermont-Ferrand (or thereabouts) over one week, averaging 60 miles a day, terrain and weather permitting. My friends will then be carrying on over week two to Cannes.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: black; mso-ansi-language: CY;">We will be setting off from Calais on 24th September. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: black; mso-ansi-language: CY;"> </span><span style="color: black;"><span style="color: #ff0000;">DA</span>TUM's aim is to help poor and vulnerable children in the poorest regions of the world, targeting those in very greatest need. The trip will be funded by me and my friends, so every penny raised will go directly to <span style="color: #ff0000;">DA</span>TUM’s projects which include building and improving shelters, schools, and health facilities by providing clean water and toilets. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black;">My target is £2,000 which will help towards building a new well, turn a basic earth floored shed into a proper school building, provide classroom furniture and build toilets in one village in a remote part of Africa or Asia. This money goes a very long way and will vastly reduce the child mortality rate and educate children to create a sustainable future for themselves and their dependents. We've all seen the disasters that are happening in Africa today - this is a chance to start tackling the problem at source!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We have very strict controls to ensure all the money raised goes straight to the project and none is wasted or lost in the process.</p>
