TARC Allendale Challenge · 4 April 2020

Tyne Amateur Rowing Club sits on the River Tyne at Newburn, about 7 miles west of Newcastle city centre. We have the longest and arguably best stretch of river for rowing in the north of England. And we have a new clubhouse with excellent indoor facilities.

Story

Please sponsor Niamh, Joseph and Paul Flood as we take on the 31st Allendale Challenge. This 26 mile walking route is one of the toughest on the UK walking route. Two great local causes will benefit from our fund raising.

North Tyne Montain Rescue Team organise this event. All entry fees are used to help fund their fantastic work.

I will also be matching any donations raised with a personal donation to Alzheimer’s Society. My dad suffers from vascular dementia and I know the impact  this condition can have on a family and as such the importance of research into this condition.

Tyne Amatuer Rowing Club, founded in 1852 is one of the oldest sporting clubs in England. It is a registered charity with a growing junior section run entirely by volunteer coaches and parents.
