Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Daniel Fagan was diagnosed with Leukaemia in August 2012 at just 19 months old. He endured endless rounds of treatment, including high dose chemotherapy, a full bone marrow transplant and a stem cell transplant but, tragically, in the early hours of 4th February 2016, World Cancer Day, of all days, he finally succumbed to this awful disease, just days after his 5th birthday.
Daniel was an amazingly brave and courageous little fella. Even through all his horrendous suffering, he remained an incredibly happy and fantastically mischievous little boy.
His treatment meant long stays in Oxford John Radcliffe and Bristol Children's Hospitals, both of which are an hour away from home.
CLIC Sargent have been a great support to Daniel's family, the main contribution being in the form of free accommodation close to each hospital. Only 1 parent can stay with Daniel in the hospital, but the CLIC houses meant that both of his parents were able to stay close by, thus reducing travel costs and the stress associated with a round trip of close to 100 miles per day.
Please help to support this fantastic charity and ensure Daniel's family, and others in similar situations, continue to receive this fantastic support. It really does make a huge difference! Thank you!
